If Trayvon Martin Behaved Like a Thug, Why Is He Treated Like a Hero?

With a single punch, Trayvon Martin decked the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who eventually shot and killed the unarmed 17-year-old, then Trayvon climbed on top of George Zimmerman and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times, leaving him bloody and battered, authorities have revealed to the Orlando Sentinel.

...Trayvon asked Zimmerman if he had a problem. Zimmerman said no and reached for his cell phone, he told police.

Trayvon then said, "Well, you do now" or something similar and punched Zimmerman in the nose.

Zimmerman fell to the ground and Trayvon got on top of him and began slamming his head into the sidewalk, he told police.

Zimmerman began yelling for help.

Several witnesses heard those cries, and there's been a dispute about from whom they came: Zimmerman or Trayvon.

Lawyers for Trayvon's family say it was Trayvon, but police say their evidence indicates it was Zimmerman.

One witnesses, who has since talked to local television news reporters, told police he saw Zimmerman on the ground with Trayvon on top, pounding him and was unequivocal that it was Zimmerman who was crying for help.

Zimmerman then shot Trayvon once in the chest from very close range, according to authorities.

When police arrived less than two minutes later, Zimmerman was bleeding from the nose, had a swollen lip and had bloody lacerations to the back of his head.

Paramedics gave him first aid, but he said no to going to the hospital. He got medical care the next day. _OrlandoSentinel
There is a lot of evidence yet to be reviewed by all of the prosecutors and special prosecutors which have been appointed by local, state, and federal authorities.

But one thing is very clear: US President Obama and almost the entire skankstream media has wasted no time annointing Trayvon Martin as a saint and a hero, and demonising Zimmerman as a "white hispanic vigilante racist killer." (New York Times)

President Obama even went so far as to suggest that Trayvon Martin might have been his son . . . or could have looked like his son.... if he had ever had a son . . . or something equally vapid and politically correct. The rallies, marches, and extravaganzas being promoted by professional rabble such as Rev. Sharpton, and the complicity of the media and the Obama administration in the entire dunghill circus, is nauseating and reprehensible.

The regrettable confrontation that resulted in the death of young Trayvon Martin, appears at this point to have been a preventable tragedy. But nothing that US President Obama, the media, or the professional rabble is doing will prevent future tragedies of this type from occurring. Just the opposite. In fact, Obama and his supporters seem to be intentionally turning up the heat in the hopes that further tragedy will occur -- tragedy that they can and will happily use for political gain.

Is this case headed for the political abyss?

JournoList Thug-Monkeys Re-consider Tactics

End of the Fight Club?** Now JournoList eminence Matthew Yglesias tells us he has “come to think that ‘mean’ arguments are counterproductive.” …  Hard-to-resist working thesis: This is what happens when you end a private institution where ambitious young leftish political writers preen for each other (and Scoutmaster DeLong) by showing how vitriolic and thuggish they can be about their ideological opponents. … Jonathan Chait had to be especially mean on domestic issues to make up for his New Republicish pro-Israel positions. … P.S.: Yglesias is a nice guy. That’s the point. JournoList encouraged nice guys to try to be nasty. …

More on the "Thug-Monkeys" of JournoList, including a list naming names.

The thug-monkeys of the skankstream want to tell everyone else what they should be thinking and how they should be behaving. They are being paid to shape your thoughts, actions, and voting patters.

But wouldn't it be nice if the relevant knowledge and information were made freely available, without political or philosophical spin? That way, you could form your own opinions, and make up your own mind for yourself.

Who Will the Hacker Group "Anonymous" Go After Next?

Update 6 Nov 2011: There are reports that the Zeta gang has released the individual associated with the Anonymous hackers. It is further reported that the Anonymous hackers have backed down from their threat against the Zetas. No harm, no foul, apparently. But regardless of the outcome of this isolated episode, the problem of the cartels and other organised crime gangs will not go away using conventional law enforcement -- particularly in third world nations such as Mexico or Peru. The corrupting influence of large sums of illegal money flowing through these organisations is too great for the defence and law enforcement operations of most undeveloped nations to withstand.

The group of hackers calling itself "Anonymous" has gone after child poronography sites and is threatening Fox News. But now a person claiming to represent "Anonymous" is publicly threatening the notorious murdering Mexican drug gang, the Zetas!
The Zetas are one of the biggest players in Mexico's drug war, which has resulted in about 40,000 deaths since 2006. Earlier this month, a YouTube video showed a man in a Guy Fawkes mask who claimed to speak for Anonymous warning the Zetas that the collective would reveal the names of people who had aided the cartel, including taxi drivers, police officers and journalists, if a kidnapped member of Anonymous weren't released.

...BBC News reports that local authorities weren't able to authenticate the video, in which the claim was made that "we cannot defend ourselves with weapons, but we can with their cars, houses and bars" and that exposing Zetas is "not difficult ... we know who they are and where they are."

...In September, the narcogang decapitated 39-year-old Marisol Macías Castañeda in the town of Nuevo Laredo for supposedly posting comments to social-networking sites under the name Laredo Girl. The sign next to her body read, "Nuevo Laredo en Vivo and social networking sites, I'm The Laredo Girl, and I'm here because of my reports, and yours."

That same month, two bodies were found hanging next to a sign that stated, "This is going to happen to all Internet snitches. Pay attention, I'm watching you."

The name of the supposedly kidnapped Anonymous member was not revealed. If the collective does reveal the identities of Zeta members, those members will likely be vulnerable to attacks from rival gangs. _Techland
Technology is likely to play an ever greater role in the pursuit of violent gangs, cartels, and organised crime syndicates.

Better nanotechnological methods of surveillance and intervention will give the controllers of such technology what would once have been considered god-like powers. Of course, one would almost need god-like powers to deal with such ruthlessly murderous groups like the Zetas. In Latin America, such groups often have more power than governments, within their area of control.

Quick! Someone Tell Tea Partiers that Herman Cain is Black!

Either the Tea Partiers were never properly instructed in the art of being racists, or they are unaware that presidential candidate Herman Cain is black. Cain is enjoying increasing support among members of the Tea Party movement and among the more conservative GOP voters. Walter Russel Mead wants to know how the media "spin" on the Tea Party went so badly wrong:
Either a lot of Democrats have been slandering millions of American voters as racist, or the Tea Party hasn’t gotten the word that Herman Cain is African American. That is the only conclusion that can be drawn after a slew of recent polls shows that Cain is picking up the ‘teavangelical’ vote as former favorites like Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry fade.

In particular, this morning we get the word from my native state of South Carolina that Cain is the leader in the Republican primary there. According to this American Research Group poll, Cain has a small and statistically insignificant lead over Mitt Romney: 26 percent to 25 percent.

Unless there has been a heretofore unnoticed surge of Black voters into the ranks of the South Carolina GOP, this means that one out of every four voters in the most conservative electorate in the United States are now ready to vote for a Black candidate for president. _WalterRusselMead
Mead goes on to describe a few other incongruities between the skankstream media spin on southern US voters and the reality on the ground.

I suppose it takes at least 4 years of university indoctrination to learn how to ignore reality, and stick to the approved message. All of those paid demostrators at the "Occupy" sit-ins, for example, must be exceptionally well indoctrinated. They must have at least 8 or 10 years of college apiece, on average. All that self righteousness on display, and $22 an hour too! Just to protest in support of the Obama status quo. Heh! And the media skanks love the "occupiers", too, not like the Tea Party rough-housers, rabble rousers and racists.

A Story You Will Not Likely Hear About in the MSM

Does anyone really know what happened to trigger the financial collapse of US and world markets in September and October of 2008? Henry Paulson was US Treasury secretary at the time, and his memories of the events appear to be vivid.
Russia’s five-day war with U.S. ally Georgia started on Aug. 8, the same day as the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Games. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told U.S. President George W. Bush during those ceremonies that “war has started,” according to Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s spokesman.

“The report was deeply troubling -- heavy selling could create a sudden loss of confidence in the GSEs and shake the capital markets,” Paulson wrote. “I waited till I was back home and in a secure environment to inform the president.”

...Paulson said he was surprised not to have been asked about the Fannie and Freddie bonds during a trip to Moscow in June. “I was soon to learn, though, that the Russians had been doing a lot of thinking about our GSE securities,” he said of his meeting with Dmitry Medvedev, who succeeded Putin in the Kremlin the previous month. _Bloomberg_via_BusinessInsider
The economic leaders of the US were clearly panicked in the early fall of 2008 by what they felt was a "near-collapse" of the entire economic system. The panic was transmitted to the US president and the US congress, who rushed a large economic rescue through in record time. I disagreed with the bailout at the time, but it was obvious that US leaders were thoroughly spooked. They acted out of desperation to "save the economy", unlike the later Obama administration bailout plans which were deliberately laid out to help Obama supporters -- and no one else.

I remember watching a news clip of Putin confronting Bush at the Beijing Olympics. Putin smirked as he walked away, and Bush appeared to be in shock. Something of an unfriendly nature was communicated between the two men. Of course, the Russian invasion and occupation of Georgia was just beginning at the same time.

The massive selloff that triggered the desperate actions of the US government originated somewhere. The idea that it may have been orchestrated by powers unfriendly to the US government is not a new one.

But the combination of economic sabotage with military aggression is precisely what one would expect from either Russia or China.

China already has the ability to temporarily obliterate the worth of the US dollar on international markets if it chooses. It is unlikely that China participated fully in Putin's scheme. But wealthy international supporters of Senator Obama's campaign for president may well have seen some benefit to their candidate, should the US economy falter in an emphatic manner, just before the election. Certainly Putin, at least, has enjoyed much more freedom of play and international influence since Obama's election -- despite Russia's economic problems and ongoing demographic and public health collapse.

The really important things that are happening every day, behind the scenes, are unlikely to ever be revealed by the media. But you can be assured of hearing everything imaginable about the sex life of Tiger Woods.

Obama and ACORN: Where Scum Floats

ACORN is under fire from many directions, accused of widespread voter fraud and other forms of criminality and corruption. President Obama is trying to pretend that he doesn't know much about ACORN and its corrupt, criminal record. But what are some of the facts about Obama and ACORN, that Obama doesn't want to bring up?
Mr. Obama took great pains to act as if he barely knew about Acorn. In fact, his association goes back almost 20 years. In 1991, he took time off from his law firm to run a voter-registration drive for Project Vote, an Acorn partner that was soon fully absorbed under the Acorn umbrella. The drive registered 135,000 voters and was considered a major factor in the upset victory of Democrat Carol Moseley Braun over incumbent Democratic Senator Alan Dixon in the 1992 Democratic Senate primary.

Mr. Obama's success made him a hot commodity on the community organizing circuit. He became a top trainer at Acorn's Chicago conferences. In 1995, he became Acorn's attorney, participating in a landmark case to force the state of Illinois to implement the federal Motor Voter Law. That law's loose voter registration requirements would later be exploited by Acorn employees in an effort to flood voter rolls with fake names.

In 1996, Mr. Obama filled out a questionnaire listing key supporters for his campaign for the Illinois Senate. He put Acorn first (it was not an alphabetical list). In the U.S. Senate, Mr. Obama became the leading critic of Voter ID laws, whose overturn was a top Acorn priority. In 2007, in a speech to Acorn's leaders prior to their political arm's endorsement of his presidential campaign, Mr. Obama was effusive: "I've been fighting alongside of Acorn on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote in Illinois, Acorn was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work."

But the Obama campaign didn't appear eager to discuss the candidate's ties to Acorn. Its press operation vividly denied Mr. Obama had been an Acorn trainer until the New York Times uncovered records demonstrating that he had been. The Obama campaign also gave Citizens Consulting, Inc., an Acorn subsidiary, $832,000 for get-out-the-vote activities in key primary states. In filings with the Federal Election Commission, the Obama campaign listed the payments as "staging, sound, lighting," only correcting the filings after the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review revealed their true nature.

Given his longstanding ties with Acorn, President Obama's protestations of ignorance or disinterest in the group's latest scandal seem preposterous. _WSJ
Of course, almost everything about Clown President Obama seems preposterous, if proper scrutiny is applied. The skank media has so far failed to apply scrutiny, but perhaps if they are forced by events outside their control . . . ?

Why Most Journalists are Biased Leftward

The following excerpt is from an article posted at a Psychology Today blog. It is well worth reading in its entirety.
As it turns out, the preponderance of journalists are Democrats. And socialism, with its idyllic, “progressive” programs, has formed an increasingly important role in Democratic policies. Who wants to investigate a possible dark side of your own party’s plank?

We’ll get to that. First—why are most journalists Democrats?

Unsurprisingly, self-selection plays an important role in choosing a job. People choosing to do work related to prisons, for example, commonly show quite different characteristics than those who volunteer for work in helping disadvantaged youths. Academicians have very different characteristics than CEOs—or politicians, for that matter.

Harry Stein, former ethics editor of Esquire, once said: "Journalism, like social work, tends to attract individuals with a keen interest in bettering the world.” In other words, journalists self-select based on a desire to help others. Socialism, with its “spread the wealth” mentality intended to help society’s underdogs, sounds ideal.

Most journalists take a number of psychology, sociology, political science, and humanities courses during their early years in college. Unfortunately, these courses have long served as ideological training programs—ignoring biological sources of self-serving, corrupt, and criminal behavior for a number of reasons, including lack of scientific training; postmodern, antiscience bias; and well-intentioned, facts-be-damned desire to have their students view the world from an egalitarian perspective. Instead, these disciplines ram home the idea that troubled behavior can be fixed through expensive socialist programs that, coincidentally, provide employment opportunities for graduates of the social sciences. Modern neuroscience is showing how flawed many of these policies have been—structural differences in the brains of psychopaths, for example, help explain why remedial programs simply helped them become better at conning people.

Academics in the social sciences tend to give short shrift to the dramatic failures and corruption within US educational system or unions. (Think here of the Detroit Public School system, or the National Education Association, whose former officers have written: “The NEA has been the single biggest obstacle to education reform in this country. We know because we worked for the NEA.”) Instead, because of their ideological biases, professors often emphasize that corporations are the bad guys, while unions and the government—at least the type of government that supports higher paychecks for social science professors and jobs for their students—are good. This type of teaching makes the Democratic Party and its increasingly socialist ideals seem naturally desirable, and criticism about how those ideals will supposedly be met less likely. (How many social scientists predicted that the billions spent on busing and the Projects would worsen the situations they were meant to solve, as ultimately happened?) It’s no wonder that journalists enter the profession as Democrats, then keep their beliefs intact through all-too-common tendencies to conform. _PsychologyToday
Follow the link and read the whole thing.

Journalists and other college educated leftists are blind because they enrolled in an academic program of self-blinding. They came by their biases in a step by step progression, by intentional programming.

Anyone who reads their drivel uncritically runs the risk of unconsciously following the same program of brain blinding and brain binding. Soon, if no contravening forces apply, an entire society can become mentally blind and subject to electing clowns as president. It could happen.

Obamacabre for All! No Choice Medicine

Whether termed "Obamacare" or "Obamacabre", no-choice medical care is apt to turn into something quite monstrous in the US under this president and this congress. When Americans are told they have no choice about something, they tend to rebel. How will they react when the macabre reality of Obama's grand plan for America really sets in? Obamacabre is just the middle of the beginning.
...any even remotely aware consumer of health care services has got to realize that the Democrats are on the verge of a massive destruction of the American medicine delivery system. There are problems in health insurance cost and coverage, but not in the quality of care and the innovation instinct, and the Democrats are going to kill the latter in the fruitless quest for improvements to the former. The "government option" is the biggest threat of all, a thinly digusied lurch to Canada-style single payor with the hidden (and increasingly not-so-hidden) rationing and lousy care that canada provides its people with complex diseases and conditions. _HughHewitt
The US is far more diverse than any of the European and quasi-European countries where universal single-payor medical care has been instituted. Americans are already deeply in debt to Medicare -- "the other single payor medical care." Now Obama promises to "fix Medicare" by expanding the failure to include every American? Good luck with that.

Wouldn't it be ironic if the only way to opt out of Obamacabre were to become a government worker? Government worker pensions allow government workers to bypass the social security system. Government worker health care plans can allow gov workers to bypass Obamacabre.

Of course if you are one of the hundreds of millions of Americans in thrall to the government-media-academia-union-trial lawyer-faux environmentalist complex, you will be saying "there is no problem here."

But if you are one of the dwindling numbers of thinking, well-educated Americans who sees Obamacabre as only one of the monsters being spawned by the nest of the incompetencies currently ensconced along the Potomac River, you may begin to consider the John Galt approach to reforming an untamed government. Or you may consider this.

Apparently the "Tea Party" movement forgot to surrender to government and media scorn, and grassroots individuals continue to protest a regime that is growing into a monstrous reich. July 4, 2009 is apt to be an interesting date in that regard.

Government workers, union bosses, faux environmentalists, community activists, and media flacks are quite happy with what the Obamanation is becoming. But small business owners and other members of the productive class who depend upon a wise and impartial government to take a mostly "hands-off" to the daily workings of a real life economy, are beginning to see storm clouds gathering.

Divisions are deep and growing deeper. When a nation's productive classes are the losers in such a quasi-"civil war", the entire nation loses. The parasites win. If anyone truly believes that Obamacabre, or Obamacare, or any other type of no-choice medical care is going to solve that problem, they deserve their fate.

Obama to Lift Clinton Ban on Stem Cell Research

The reason newspapers are dying is because they lie to the public. As the public catches on to newspapers' dishonest agenda, they quite the papers in disgust. Take the example of reporting on Obama's lifting of regulations restricting embryonic stem cell research that date back to the Clinton administration. Most newspapers worldwide are reporting Obama's pending action as a reversal of a "Bush ban on stem cell research." In reality there was no such Bush ban. In fact, Bush opened up embryonic stem cell research that had been banned by the congress during the Clinton administration. Bush maintained the Clinton era ban on destroying embryos to obtain new stem cell lines. But he made vast new funding available for other types of stem cell research.

Obama is touting the reversal of a Clinton era ban that Clinton could not bother himself to deal with. But Obama's action will have a minimal effect on stem cell treatments for human disease, since such treatments will almost invariably utilise a person's own stem cells -- induced stem cells that have no danger of rejection by the immune system. That is the type of research that has been wide open for several years, thanks to Bush.

Here's more on the rest of the story of Clinton's stem cell ban

Here's an interesting pictorial primer on the financial meltdown

Check out this example of "buyer's remorse" from a liberal legal scholar who is suddenly uneasy about Obama's aggressive leftism that is destroying the economy.

Governor Palin Speaks Out on Media Treatment During the Recent Presidential Campaign

Governor Palin has more class in one skin cell than the entire news and entertainment media possesses in its entirety. The media is responsible for burdening the US with an incompetent and inexperienced narcissist. The incredible amount of catastrophic damage that the Obama administration is virtually certain to inflict upon America and the world, should be largely laid at the feet of the media.

In other words, actions have consequences. There will be an accounting.

Epidemic of Violence by Media Veterans

Normal citizens are becoming alarmed at the flurry of violence by media veterans:
A Denver newspaper columnist is arrested for stalking a story subject. In Cincinnati, a television reporter is arrested on charges of child molestation. A North Carolina newspaper reporter is arrested for harassing a local woman. A drunken Chicago Sun-Times columnist and editorial board member is arrested for wife beating. A Baltimore newspaper editor is arrested for threatening neighbors with a shotgun. In Florida, one TV reporter is arrested for DUI, while another is charged with carrying a gun into a high school. A Philadelphia news anchorwoman goes on a violent drunken rampage, assaulting a police officer. In England, a newspaper columnist is arrested for killing her elderly aunt.

..."These people could snap at any minute," says James Treacher of the Treacher Institute for Journalist Studies. "We need to get them the help and medication they need before it's too late."...Accounts of media psychopathy, while widespread, have until now been largely anecdotal. In order to provide a more focused and systematic study of the crisis, Iowahawk researchers set out to identify and tabulate criminal arrests and convictions of current and former journalists. While by no means comprehensive, this 10-minute project yielded a grim picture of a once-proud profession now in the grips of tragic, drunk, violent, child-raping rage.

The stories cited in the opening paragraph, while instructive, are by no means isolated. Google searches return hundreds of crimes attributable to workers in America's media industry, and millions of pages containing the terms "journalist" and "murder." They are as shocking in their detail as they are in their number.

....How many unsuspecting American motorists and pedestrians remain at risk from alcoholic media professionals is still a matter of scientific conjecture, but one thing is certain: journalists can be even more deadly outside their cars. Often the journalistic gateway to violent behavior begins with stalking and trespassing -- such as has been alleged of People magazine reporters Jeffrey Neal Weiss, and, in an unrelated incident, Don Sider. But sometimes, as in the case of MSNBC host Keith Olbermann, serial stalking behavior goes unpunished and the perpetrators go on to seek more serious thrill-crimes. Journalists recently charged with violent offenses include New York Times reporter and alleged batterer Michael Katz, British reporter Ben Stubbings, and St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Margaret Gillerman, charged with striking a police officer.

... A shocking number of journalism-related crimes involve child molestation, child pornography, and internet stalking of minors. Journalists recently charged with sickening crimes in this category include Arizona newspaper editor Lindsey Stockton, Arkansas radio reporter Charles "David" Ballard, New Orleans Times-Picayune reporter William Kalec, Former KTTV-TV Los Angeles reporter Rod Bernsen, Washington DC TV weatherman Bill Kamal, and Noel Neff, former editor of the children's magazine Weekly Reader.

In recent times, the national journalist crime spree has taken an increasingly deadly turn. A typical case in point is former Savannah newspaper reporter Donald Lowery, charged with robbing a bank with a sawed-off shotgun. Sometimes arrests are made before bloodshed, such as in the case of Oak Ridge (TN) newspaper reporter and alleged murder plotter Michael Frazier, and former San Francisco AsianWeek columnist Kenneth Eng, arrested for threatening a Virginia Tech-style massacre at a New York University commencement. All too often, though, the warning signs come too late. Recent years witnessed several journalists arrested on murder charges, including longtime Hartford Courant reporter Gregory Robertson and Missouri radio host and reporter James Keown, charged with fatally poisoning his wife by spiking her Gatorade with antifreeze.

...Among the defenders is University of Tennessee law professor Glenn Reynolds.

"I think it's unfair to single out journalists as thieves, or violent, or drunks, or child abusers," says Reynolds. "Sometimes they're all of the above."...He cites the case of Kevin Lee Pettiford, a Knoxville journalist charged with abducting and threatening to kill three minor girls during a drunken high speed chase to an attempted bank robbery.
Iowahawk

Truly, the North American public is at serious risk from violent media veterans--the scummiest of the scummy.

Operation Arrowhead Ripper

Michael Yon is a self-financed journalist of the Iraq war who regularly risks his life to bring news of the war that mainstream journalists making six figure incomes cannot be bothered to provide. In this story he describes his experience of the ongoing large scale military operation dubbed Operation Arrowhead Ripper.
The combat has only just begun, and media has now figured out this is serious business. During the morning brief (June 20th), Major Robbie Parke mentioned that CNN, TIME, Reuters and some others, are trying to get out here now. Problem is space.

...The enemy in Baqubah is as good as any in Iraq, and better than most. That’s saying a lot. But our guys have been systematically trapping them, and have foiled some big traps set for our guys. I don’t want to say much more about that, but our guys are seriously outsmarting them. Big fights are ahead and we will take serious losses probably, but al Qaeda, unless they find a way to escape, are about to be slaughtered. Nobody is dropping leaflets asking them to surrender. Our guys want to kill them, and that’s the plan.

....most local people apparently are happy that al Qaeda is being trapped and killed. Civilians are pointing out IEDs and enemy fighters, so that’s not working so well for al Qaeda.
Source

But you never hear about this on the mainstream media. Most people are content to condemn the involvement of the US in Iraq, based upon what they hear from the mainstream. Just like most people are content with their beliefs about climate change based upon mainstream media reports. Ignorance can bolster their beliefs so much that they become addicted to it.
